Minimum Qualifications Required for Consideration:

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the janitorial or commercial cleaning industry.
  • Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or management experience leading teams in a service-based environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills required.
  • Experience with customer relationship management, contract renewals, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Ability to work evenings and participate in an on-call rotation to support operational and customer needs.
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to successfully pass extensive federal and state background checks.

The Janitorial Manager serves as the primary liaison between employees and customers, providing coaching, training, and administrative oversight while maintaining contractual requirements and ensuring excellent service delivery. This position requires strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to effectively manage multiple locations and priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Operations Management
  • Oversee daily janitorial operations across multiple facilities and work locations.
  • Ensure contractual obligations and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and coverage for absences and emergency situations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance reviews.
  • Monitor supply usage and maintain inventory levels.
  • Ensure work vehicles, equipment, and janitorial closets are properly maintained and organized.
  • Participate in reducing operational costs and improving efficiencies.
Leadership and Employee Development
  • Directly supervise lead workers and janitorial personnel.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and address performance concerns.
  • Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and employee accountability.
  • Promote teamwork, engagement, and a positive work environment.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, BOLI, FLSA, and other applicable regulations.

  • Maintain safety documentation and support a culture of accountability and workplace safety.
Qualifications:Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in commercial janitorial services required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or management experience required.
  • Experience managing multiple locations and customer relationships preferred.
  • Experience with contract renewals, budgeting, and administrative functions preferred.
