Now Hiring: Area Manager – Commercial Cleaning Operations (Toledo, OH)

Advance Cleaning Contractors is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee commercial cleaning operations throughout the Toledo area. We are looking for a leader who understands that great customer service starts with supporting employees and leading by example.

If you have supervisory experience, janitorial knowledge, and enjoy building strong teams, we'd love to hear from you.

Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Overtime and occasional weekends as needed

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting Pay: $22.00 per hour
    • Higher starting wage may be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for supervising multiple commercial cleaning accounts, supporting employees in the field, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring our quality standards are met. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support multiple commercial cleaning crews
  • Conduct regular quality inspections of customer facilities
  • Train, coach, and develop team members
  • Lead by example through professionalism and a strong work ethic
  • Build positive relationships with customers and respond to their needs promptly
  • Handle staffing issues, call-offs, scheduling adjustments, and employee coaching
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and according to company standards
  • Maintain accurate reports and communicate effectively with management
  • Assist with cleaning duties when necessary

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Previous commercial janitorial, facilities management, or leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and people skills
  • The ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Clean-shaven face when required for certain customer locations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and work throughout an active shift
