Job description

Are you looking for an opportunity to work at one of Seattle's most recognizable landmarks while helping create a clean, welcoming environment for thousands of visitors each year? A well-known Seattle attraction is hiring a Day Porter (Janitorial) to join their facilities team on a temporary assignment.

This Day Porter (Janitorial) position is a full-time, temporary opportunity expected to last approximately one month. If you enjoy staying active, take pride in maintaining clean spaces, and have a customer-first mindset, this Day Porter (Janitorial) role could be a great fit. Training is provided!

Day Porter (Janitorial) Duties:
  • Perform routine cleaning of public areas, restrooms, kitchenettes, and other facility spaces. 
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, wipe down, polish, and sanitize assigned areas to maintain a clean and welcoming environment. 
  • Empty trash and recycling, restock supplies, and ensure public spaces remain presentable throughout the day. 
  • Respond to customer requests and facility work orders in person and by radio, including cleaning spills and addressing sanitation needs. 
  • Deliver friendly, professional customer service while working independently and as part of the facilities team. 

Day Porter (Janitorial) Job Requirements:
  • At least 6 months of previous janitorial, sanitation, custodial, or day porter experience in a high-volume environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills. 
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours throughout the workday. 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Schedule:
Choose one of the following full-time schedules: 
  • Thursday - Monday | 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Pay:
  • $21.75 per hour
