Job description

Becker School District is conveniently located off of US Hwy 10, just 20 minutes SE from St. Cloud and 45 minutes NW from the Twin Cities. The District consists of five buildings, all situated on a single, cohesive campus and serves approximately 2,800 students - Early Education Building, Primary School (K-2), Intermediate School (3-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). Becker's mission is to develop self-directed learners to thrive in a changing global community.
Position Summary: Night Lead Custodian 
The Night Lead Custodian is responsible for supervising and performing custodial operations during evening and overnight hours to ensure a clean, safe, and secure school environment for students, staff, and community use. This position leads custodial staff, assigns and inspects nightly work, and ensures all cleaning and sanitation standards are consistently met across classrooms, common areas, gymnasiums, and other school facilities.
In addition to custodial leadership duties, the Night Lead Custodian is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of building systems, including licensed oversight of the school's boiler and swimming pool systems. This includes maintaining proper pool water chemistry, conducting routine inspections, ensuring safe boiler operation, and complying with all applicable health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
The Night Lead Custodian serves as the primary on-site contact, responding to alarms, emergencies, and facility issues as needed. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the building is safe, functional, and ready for the next school day. Strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and attention to detail are essential.
Schedule: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM









Salary: Night lead scale, plus boiler and CPO premium (see attached contract).
Requirements/Licensure: Must obtain a CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Certificate and Class 2C Boiler License by the end of the probationary period.
