Job description

NOW HIRING: Millerbernd Manufacturing is looking for a Janitor to join our Circular Products – Sauk Rapids team. The Janitor is responsible for maintaining production areas and keeping it presentable. They will perform heavy cleaning duties, such as washing floors, walls, glass and removing rubbish. Duties may also include notifying management of needed repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.

(In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)
Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm
Shift Differential:
1st shift – N/A

As a Janitor, you will:

  • Gather and empty trash into specified dumpsters.
  • Gather and empty hazardous waste into specified dumpsters. Prepare manifest.
  • Dump scrap steel tilt hoppers in specific dumpsters.
  • Contact Steel and Trash vendors when containers are full.
  • Service, clean and supply restrooms, lunchroom and office.
  • Drive vehicles required to perform tasks including industrial trucks.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
  • Spray insecticides and fumigants as needed
  • Report maintenance concerns to Maintenance Manager
  • Perform routine maintenance activities as requested.

Role Qualifications as a Janitor:

  • Able to possess an industrial truck license
  • Proven organizational and housekeeping skills
  • Proven communication skills
  • Able to identify potential safety hazards and takes steps to mitigate hazards.
  • Work well with production employees
