About the Position

We are looking for an organized and discreet Accounting Coordinator to manage a variety of daily tasks and projects across our global Accounting team.

You don't need to be an expert in accounting to thrive in this role-we are happy to teach you what you need to know. You'll learn from seasoned colleagues how to manage the moving pieces that keep our systems and processes running smoothly.

Additional responsibilities of this role might include:

  • Coordinating document signatures and follow-ups
  • Assisting with calendar management, maintenance, and updating
  • Completing audit-related tasks, such as tracking requests, and coordinating with other Jane Street teams to ensure proper follow-up
  • Distributing monthly financials to counterparties, maintaining the distribution list, and updating it as relationships and requirements change
  • Coordinating financial statement deliverables with the AML team during onboarding
  • Assisting with credit card administration, including requesting new cards, managing limits, communicating with third-party vendors, and coordinating with banks in the event of fraudulent transactions
  • Coordinating various processes, including capital moves and wires

This role provides a great introduction to our accounting function and the larger operations of the firm. Getting the details right in accounting is an extremely important part of our business and we take pride in our ability to stay on schedule without sacrificing accuracy. Each member of our team is highly organized, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

About You
  • Having 2+ years of corporate administrative experience is preferred
  • Able to produce timely and accurate records, especially work paper documentation
  • Supportive and reliable; a team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
  • Motivated to improve processes where possible
  • A strong communicator with excellent people skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
