Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Enterprise macOS & JAMF Engineering Lead in Topeka, KS.
Summary:
We are seeking a highly specialized Enterprise macOS & JAMF Expert to support and evolve a large-scale Microsoft-centric enterprise environment. This role will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all Apple ecosystem endpoints, ensuring seamless integration, security, and scalability across macOS devices within a predominantly Microsoft-based infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the enterprise SME for macOS and Apple device management, owning strategy, design, and execution
* Administer and optimize JAMF Pro for device lifecycle management, including provisioning, policy enforcement, patching, and compliance
* Design and implement macOS solutions in a Microsoft enterprise environment (Azure AD/Entra, Intune, O365, conditional access, identity integration)
* Lead endpoint engineering initiatives including automation, packaging, and deployment of applications for macOS
* Develop and maintain scripting and automation (Bash, Python, or similar) to streamline endpoint management and operational efficiency
* Partner with security teams to ensure device compliance, encryption, and endpoint protection standards are met
* Troubleshoot complex cross-platform issues (macOS + Microsoft stack) across identity, access, networking, and device management layers
* Define and enforce best practices and standards for macOS in an enterprise setting
* Support enterprise initiatives such as MDM modernization, zero-touch deployment, and endpoint consolidation strategies
REQUIREMENTS:
macOS Enterprise Expertise:
* Deep experience managing macOS in a large-scale enterprise environment
* Strong understanding of macOS architecture, security, and system administration
* Experience with application packaging, patching, and deployment for Mac environments
JAMF/Apple Device Management:
* Advanced hands-on experience with JAMF Pro administration (policies, profiles, compliance, reporting)
* Proven experience managing device lifecycle (enrollment, configuration, patching, and support)
* Familiarity with automation and scripting to enhance JAMF capabilities
Microsoft Enterprise Integration:
* Experience integrating macOS into Microsoft-centric environments (Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, O365)
* Understanding of cross-platform identity, access management, and security controls
* Ability to operate effectively in environments where Windows-based tooling and standards dominate
Preferred Qualifications:
* JAMF certifications (Jamf 200/300/400 preferred)
* Experience with hybrid MDM environments (JAMF + Intune)
* Knowledge of endpoint security tools, PKI, and compliance frameworks
* Experience supporting enterprise-scale endpoint transformations or migrations
* Strong communication skills with ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
