As a Sales Executive for public sector transportation clients in a major Texas metropolitan area, you7ll lead the charge in strengthening strategic relationships and shaping Jacobs A0presence in one of our most significant growth markets. You7ll cultivate and strengthen strategic partnerships with city and county agencies, transit and rail agencies, port authorities, and key contractors, ensuring Jacobs is recognized as the trusted partner for delivering critical transportation and infrastructure programs.

In this high‑impact role, you7ll deepen our connections with both public‑sector clients and contractors - helping advance collaborative partnerships and expanding our influence in alternative delivery, including Design‑Build, CM/GC, and Progressive Design‑Build. Your ability to understand stakeholder needs, anticipate challenges, and advocate for smart, integrated solutions will position Jacobs as the firm of choice.

Working closely with our delivery teams, you7ll guide pursuit strategies, sustain and grow our project pipeline, and help secure transformational opportunities that shape the future of transportation and community infrastructure. This role can be based in theDallas–Fort Worth metroplex or Houston.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for public sector clients and contractors, driving client service excellence and growth strategy.
  • Align transportation market strategy in collaboration with the Transportation Market Growth Director to support broader portfolio goals.
  • Build strong, long‑term relationships with clients and industry partners to expand Jacobs A0presence and influence.
  • Support hiring strategies, team development, and office growth to strengthen regional capabilities.
  • Lead pursuit and proposal strategy, confirming disciplined sales processes and compelling win themes.
  • Collaborate with project and sales teams on pursuit planning, proposal development, interviews, and presentations.
  • Represent Jacobs in industry and community organizations to enhance market visibility and brand presence.
  • Charter and guide multi-disciplinary client service teams around a shared vision of client success, engaging executive sponsors when appropriate.
  • Stay current on industry trends, funding programs, and regulatory changes to anticipate client needs and identify new opportunities.

Here7s what you7ll need

  • Bachelor7s degree in civil engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 15+ years of transportation infrastructure experience, with a background that enables strong credibility with clients.
  • Demonstrated leadership within the transportation infrastructure industry through progressively responsible roles in project delivery, operations, and client management (e.g., Senior Seller/Doer, Project Manager, Design Manager, or Operations Lead)
  • Strong network and established client relationships in one or more major metropolitan areas in Texas, including contractors, with a demonstrated history of winning work in these regions.
  • Solid understanding of the full sales lifecycle, from early opportunity identification through proposal development, interviews, and contract award.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams, including sales, operations, technical specialists, legal, and contracting.
  • Knowledge of and relationships with potential teaming partners - large firms and small businesses - to build highly responsive pursuit teams.
  • Demonstrated strengths in leadership, communication, technical writing, and presenting to clients; skilled at building consensus and leading teams.
  • Recognized presence in the transportation marketplace, including community and political engagement and established industry visibility.
  • Ability to travel periodically across Texas.

The base salary range for this position is $175,000.00 to $300,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
