Electrical Superintendent - Design Build

Your impact

Jacobs Engineering is seeking a qualified professional to serve as an Electrical Superintendent for a fast-paced and existing Construction Project in Torrance, California.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility for communicating and implementing the elements of the Construction Quality Management Plan at the electrical subcontractor field supervision and craft labor level.
  • Works with the Quality Manager to track and document quality during construction.
  • Coordinates with electrical inspector when quality issues arise with electrical work.
  • Monitors progress and execution of workplans by electrical subcontractor.
  • Performs ongoing quality assurance inspection of the electrical subcontractorโ€™s work, including alignment and installation of electrical equipment, raceways, panels, instrumentation, and other electrical system components.
  • Verifies compliance of electrical subcontractorโ€™s work with Contract requirements, codes, standards, approved shop drawings, manufacturer recommendations, and other requirements.
  • Reviews electrical subcontractorโ€™s workplans and daily quality control reports.
  • Prepares and maintains all electrical/Instrumentation and controls QA documentation, including test reports obtained from the electrical subcontractorโ€™s testing activities.
Hereโ€™s what youโ€™ll need:
  • 5-10 years of experience with electrical trade in Water/Wastewater Construction Projects.
  • Experience in construction project coordination.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates strong independent judgement.
  • Demonstrates strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders including the Owner, the equipment/material suppliers, and the inspection teams.
  • Familiarity with inspection processes, submittals, and document tracking systems in the Construction Environment (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, e2020) is a plus.

Base Salary Range:

The base salary range for this position is $127,700.00 to $199,550.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
