Job description

Jackson County Schools is seeking qualified Special Education Teachers to join the team at West Jackson Middle School in an Inclusion Teaching capacity. The teacher candidate may also teach a resource ELA class. 


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field
  • Eligible to hold a GaPSC issued teaching certificate in Special Education, General Curriculum

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Special Education Education or related field
  • Hold a GaPSC issued teaching certificate in Special Education, General Curriculum
  • Hold a GaPSC issued teaching certificate in middle grades ELA
  • Experience working in a public school district as a Special Education Teacher

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in a standard in-person classroom setting
  • Regularly involves standing, speaking, and interacting with students, parents, and colleagues
  • May require occasional lifting of materials or equipment
