Job description

Title: Cherry Picker / High Reach / Pallet Jack Operator
Location: Patterson, CA 95363
Duration: 03 Months
Shift Timing: 05:00 PM - 01:30 AM PST - 2nd shift
Pay Rate: $22.50/Hour on W2
 
 
Note:
Training: 05:00 AM - 01:30 PM PST - 1st shift hours for 1 week.
 
 

Roles & Responsibilities:

This position will be a combination of cherry picking, high reach and pallet jack operations.
Skills CHERRY PICKER:
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
• Ability to operate (to height of 50 feet) and be certified as an Operator powered equipment.
• Normal eyesight (natural or corrected).
• Physical Demands: This job has a Constant medium heavy lifting requirement of 67 – 100% up to 15 lbs. Other physical activities include Constant bending/reaching/stooping; Constant walking/standing/reaching 67- 100% of time.
• Work Environment: Warehouse environment, which includes seasonal temperature changes, rolling equipment and conveyors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Perform required duties while operating equipment in a safe and reasonable manner.
• Responsible for the timely retrieval of replenishment merchandise in Reserve locations.
• Retrieve cases listed on RF Unit from Random locations, record check digit and deposit pallets correctly in designated staging area for daily replenishment.
• Perform preliminary safety check of assigned equipment prior to daily operation and record/report any problems or defects to Supervisor.
• Notify Supervisor or equipment mechanic if equipment becomes inoperable or a safety issue.
• Complete and submit daily worksheet summarizing Indirect Activities performed.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor/Management.
Skills HIGH REACH:
• Ability to read, write and count accurately.
• Ability to operate and be licensed as an Operator of powered equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical Demands: This position has an occasional lifting requirement (up to 50 lbs), other physical activities include Frequent bending/reaching/stooping (34-66%), constant walking/standing/climbing (34-66%).
• Work Environment: Warehouse environment, which includes seasonal temperature changes, rolling equipment and conveyors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Remove pallets from deep reserve locations and place into pick locations.
• Retrieve pallet(s) placed on Bulk Receiving floor and scan into designated deep reserve locations.
• Must sign onto assignment(s) at the beginning of each shift and properly sign on and off throughout the day. Most importantly you must log off at the end of your work- day.
• Place pallet(s) properly into storage or pick locations.
• Perform preliminary safety checks of assigned Reach Truck prior to daily operation and record/report any problems or defects.
• Notify Supervisor if equipment and CT' become inoperable or of a safety issue.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervision/Management.
Skills PALLET JACK OPERATOR:
• Ability to read, write and count accurately.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate and be certified as an Operator of a Pallet Transporter.
• Ability to work in a seasonally warm or cool environment.
• Physical Demands: This position has a; constant medium heavy lifting requirement (over 20 lbs – 67-100%), occasional very heavy lifting requirement (75 lbs – 0-33%). Other physical activities include Constant bending/reaching/stooping (67-100%); constant walking/standing/climbing (67-100%).
• Work Environment: Warehouse environment, which includes seasonal temperature changes, rolling equipment and conveyors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Non-conveyable
• Sign on to assignments and out for designated times throughout the day as well as out for day.
• Process orders for non-conveyable cases/pieces for retail stores.
• Upon completion of case label order and/or when pallet is full (height and dimension), mark store number on all sides of pallet. Secure the pallet with tape/stretch wrap and attach a pallet tag. Mark the pallet tag showing store number, case total for the pallet and lane to be staged.
• Transport completed pallet to staging area for delivery to shipping floor.
• Call credits into Group Leader as they occur. Fill out Delay Sheet properly.
• Select case from front to back, left to right, and one layer at a time. Stack empty and broken pallets in designated area pick level.
• Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervision/Management.
