Job description

Illume Fertility is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-centered Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our collaborative fertility team. Working closely with our reproductive endocrinologists, nurses, embryologists, and other clinical professionals, the APP will provide comprehensive care to individuals and couples undergoing fertility evaluation and treatment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a provider interested in women's health and reproductive medicine. Previous fertility experience is preferred but not required for candidates with a strong clinical background and a passion for exceptional patient care.

Pelvic ultrasound experience is preferred but not required. We are committed to training the right candidate who is eager to develop ultrasound skills.


Essential Responsibilities

Patient Care

  • Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Evaluate patients undergoing fertility evaluation and treatment.
  • Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Monitor patients throughout fertility treatment cycles.
  • Conduct office visits and telehealth appointments.
  • Prescribe and manage fertility medications within scope of practice.

Fertility Treatment

  • Educate patients regarding fertility diagnoses, treatment options, medications, procedures, risks, and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate and monitor ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), frozen embryo transfer (FET), and fertility preservation cycles.
  • Perform baseline and monitoring pelvic ultrasounds (training available for qualified candidates).
  • Provide early pregnancy monitoring and follow-up care.
  • Assist with fertility procedures, including IUI.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as saline infusion sonograms (SIS), hysterosalpingograms (HSG), and early pregnancy ultrasounds, as trained and credentialed.

Documentation & Quality

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, state regulations, and clinic policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain clinical excellence.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) program.
  • Current PA or APRN license in the applicable state.
  • Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain one). Illume Fertility will assist with DEA registration if needed.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred

  • Experience in reproductive endocrinology, infertility, women's health, OB/GYN, or family medicine.
  • Pelvic ultrasound experience is preferred but not required. Comprehensive ultrasound training will be provided for the right candidate.
