Job description

Job Summary
General Atomics (GA) is a leading developer of advanced technologies, including space systems, remotely piloted aircraft, sensors, and high-performance electronic and laser technologies. GA-EMS Remote Sensing Space Systems (RS3) is redefining access to space with modular, scalable small satellite platforms and constellations. Backed by proven on-orbit performance, our small satellite solutions support defense, intelligence and civil science missions.
We are seeking a Cost Account Manager (CAM) for satellite systems to join our Englewood, CO team. In this role, you will support the project leadership team by managing cost, schedule, and performance for assigned control accounts on GA-EMS satellite products and technologies. You will work with cross-functional teams to plan and track work, analyze variances, support risk and opportunity management, and prepare inputs for technical and program milestone reviews.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as Cost Account Manager (CAM) using EVMS to plan, track, and report cost, schedule, and performance for assigned control accounts.
  • Support the project engineer, product leads, and program leadership team by helping execute the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for engineering work.
  • Coordinate with engineering, program management, and project controls to develop budgets, forecasts, and manpower estimates, and to analyze variances.
  • Monitor and report cost and schedule performance, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support agile development processes by participating in backlog grooming, sprint planning and scrum processes.
  • Support risk and opportunity management by tracking impacts to cost and schedule and contributing to mitigation plans.
  • Assist with change management by evaluating cost/schedule impacts of scope changes and supporting implementation of approved changes.
  • Maintain and update tracking tools (e.g., burn-down charts, action item lists, deliverables

Job Qualifications
  • Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; six or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, four or more years of experience with a masters degree, or two or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or similar cost/schedule frameworks.
  • Experience with space systems and DoD customers preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop practical solutions.
  • Able to manage multiple high-priority tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-contract environment.
  • Must be customer focused and able to work on a self-initiated basis or in a team environment and able to work extended hours and travel as required. Travel expected to be less than 10%.
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance is required with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
