Infusion Therapy EMT – IV Certified

Private Practice Sun Valley Arthritis Center | Peoria, Arizona

SunValley Arthritis Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Therapy EMT – IV Certified to join our outpatient rheumatology infusion team. This position is ideal for an EMT who enjoys direct patient care and has strong peripheral IV skills.


Responsibilities

  • Perform peripheral IV insertion for patients receiving biologic and specialty medications.
  • Assist with biologic infusions under provider/nurse direction and established protocols.
  • Obtain and document vital signs before, during, and after infusions.
  • Monitor patients for infusion reactions, allergic reactions, and changes in condition.
  • Assess IV sites for patency, infiltration, phlebitis, and other complications.
  • Immediately report abnormal findings or patient concerns to the supervising nurse or provider.
  • Respond to medical emergencies within EMT certification and authorized scope of practice.
  • Accurately document IV placement, patient monitoring, and infusion-related care.
  • Maintain infection-control, medication-safety, HIPAA, and clinic standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and adequately stocked infusion area.


Qualifications

  • Current Arizona EMT certification.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated competency and experience with peripheral IV insertion.
  • Strong patientcare and communication skills.
  • Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
  • Previous infusion, IV therapy, emergency medicine, urgent care, or clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience with biologic medications or rheumatology patients preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a clinical team.
