To thrive as an IT Service Desk professional, you need a solid understanding of IT troubleshooting, operating systems, and network fundamentals, often supported by a relevant degree or certifications such as CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation. Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira, remote desktop tools, and knowledge base platforms is typically required.
