Responsibilities may include operating the iTero scanner to create 3D impressions of patients' teeth, assisting with treatment planning, and ensuring accurate digital records. Dental assistants, orthodontic technicians, and other professionals may be trained to use iTero technology as part of their job.

How does an iTero specialist typically collaborate with dental teams during the digital scanning process?

An Itero Specialist works closely with dentists, dental assistants, and lab technicians to ensure accurate digital impressions are taken for orthodontic or restorative procedures. They are responsible for operating the Itero scanner, educating team members on best practices, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise. The role often involves coordinating with external dental labs to facilitate the smooth transfer of digital files and ensure the highest quality patient outcomes. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, as the Itero Specialist acts as a bridge between clinical staff and digital technology.
