Job description

Role Overview

We're seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Engineer, Data Center Operations to support daily operations in a high-density, mission-critical environment. This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, supporting customer deployments, monitoring infrastructure systems, and ensuring uptime across electrical, mechanical, and IT equipment. The ideal candidate is technically curious, reliable, safety-focused, and eager to grow within a fast-paced operations team. You will work closely with senior engineers to maintain site performance, resolve issues, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support & Daily Activities
  • Perform day-to-day tasks including equipment installation, racking and stacking, cabling, labeling, and facility rounds.
  • Execute preventative maintenance procedures and support corrective maintenance under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist in monitoring and operating Building Management Systems (BMS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and ticketing platforms.
  • Follow SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs to ensure safe and consistent work execution.
Infrastructure Monitoring & Issue Resolution
  • Monitor power, cooling, and IT systems to ensure stable performance and identify potential issues early.
  • Assist in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure incidents.
  • Escalate equipment or system issues to senior engineers in a timely, concise, and accurate manner.
Customer Support & Remote Hands Services
  • Provide professional and timely remote hands support, including power cycling, cable tracing, hardware swaps, and visual inspections.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams to ensure service requests are handled correctly.
  • Contribute to a positive customer experience through responsiveness, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Documentation, Compliance & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate logs, checklists, and records for audits, compliance, and operational transparency.
  • Document changes, maintenance activities, and incidents following established processes.
  • Support asset tracking, inventory management, and spare parts organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work alongside Senior Engineers, Facilities, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to support operational readiness and continuous improvements.
  • Participate in project-based tasks such as new deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and capacity expansions.
  • Provide input on workflow improvements and safety practices.

Key Skills
