Systems Administrator II (Infrastructure Security) Location- Ft Meade, MD Clearance- TS/SCI FSP Salary- $165k-195k/yr The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position's responsibilities; the candidate's experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions. This program requires US Citizenship Position Overview The System Administrator Level 2 provides support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. This role manages IT system infrastructure and all processes related to system operations. Responsibilities include supporting day?to?day IT system activities, monitoring system performance, resolving issues across client/server/storage/network environments, and providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support. The position also involves configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, installing and maintaining operating system software, troubleshooting system and network components, and implementing enhancements to improve system reliability and performance. Responsibilities * Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. * Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. * Manage daily configuration and operational activities of IT systems. * Assist users in accessing and utilizing IT systems. * Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. * Support day?to?day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. * Support escalation processes and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers. * Optimize system operations and resource utilization; perform system capacity analysis and planning. * Provide in?depth troubleshooting expertise for IT systems. * Deliver detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets. * Support dispatch system and hardware issue resolution, remaining engaged throughout the process. * Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems; install and load operating system software; troubleshoot and maintain network component integrity; implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Qualifications Required Education & Experience * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. * Five (5) additional years of System Administrator experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree. * Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Additional Required Skills * Three (3) years of experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and using system security tools, including: * Container security * Virtual machine security * Security boundary enforcement * Configuration management * Security reporting tools * Three (3) years of experience with ELK, Tripwire, VMware, and the Red Hat SELinux security tool suite is strongly preferred.
