Job Summary:
Sanderson Pipe is looking for an experienced motivated IT Support Technician to join their IT team. This individual will serve as the in-house IT point of contact responsible for maintaining the company’s computer and network systems and assisting employees with IT-related problems.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as first point of contact for IT support within the organization
• Install and providing technical support for software applications and operating systems.
• Ability to perform network backups and coordinate disaster recovery efforts.
• Ability to plan, organize and track projects.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues and repair or replace damaged computer and network components.
• Ability to read, understand and comply with the department’s policies, procedures, guidelines and practices relating to network and security standards.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation for supported systems.
• Provide excellent customer service and support employees whenever they encounter issues with computers and network devices
• Maintaining and update computer and network equipment in order to track warranty, upgrades and replacement devices
• Help ensure all applicable employees are issued the correct and/or standard computer equipment in a timely manner
• Any and all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Two (2) or Four (4) year degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in an I.T. role providing network support including installation, maintenance and/or support of network hardware, software, virtual servers, backups and MS Active Directory.
• One (1) or more certifications from a network training program such as CCNA/CCDP, MCSDE/MCSA, MCP-Network, Network +.
• Strong understanding of IT and programming software
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address maintenance challenges effectively.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with other departments and external partners.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety in all maintenance activities.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Assistance is required for anything over 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders, walk long distances, stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, push and pull heavy objects
• Ability to be on call as needed
• Ability to climb heights and ladders when needed
• Required to reach or grip with arms and hands
• Work in uncontrolled environments hot and cold
