Position Overview:

The Information Technology (IT) Department is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented IT Student Assistant to support daily operations and administrative coordination within the department. This role provides hands-on experience in IT service delivery, scheduling coordination, and business operations, including vendor communication, invoice tracking, and payment follow-up. The student assistant will also contribute to general office support and customer service for campus technology needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with scheduling student workers and coordinating shifts to ensure adequate coverage for IT support services.
  • Support vendor management processes, including tracking orders, communicating with vendors, and following up on outstanding items.
  • Assist with invoice processing, payment tracking, and ensuring timely submission and follow-up with procurement and finance departments.
  • Provide general office support, including data entry, documentation, and responding to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff.
  • Assist IT staff with organizing equipment, maintaining inventory records, and preparing devices for deployment.
  • Help coordinate logistics for IT projects, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and communication between stakeholders.
