Seeking an IT Production Software Engineer II

The IT Production Software Engineer II plays a key role in supporting reliable, efficient, and safe Fab operations by partnering with manufacturing teams, software vendors, and global support resources to deliver effective IT solutions. This position evaluates business needs, recommends technology and process improvements, determines software readiness for deployment, and makes timely decisions to restore critical system functionality. Through expertise in Fab systems, programming, and application support, the role drives continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and operational excellence while serving as a bridge between technical systems and manufacturing processes.

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot and resolve errors or problems with IT products 
  • Provide articulate communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Assist in design, construction, test and implementation of computer systems 
  • Leading small and medium sized projects from an IT perspective
  • Contribute to large sized projects from an IT perspective
  • Active participant in change management process 
  • Manage delegated tasks within project timelines 
  • Report on progress against project timelines and escalate when appropriate
  • Provide accurate estimations of work packages against project timelines and escalate when appropriate
  • Engage in code reviews, task grooming, pair programming and cross-functional collaboration
  • Contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement teams
  • Improve documentation of logical data, process models systems, and how to resolve errors
  • Ensure data integrity in all process designs
  • Develop knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and databases within our infrastructure
  • Contribute to process improvement
  • Support minimizing legacy application dependency
  • Improve and centralize reporting data
  • Improve training for and train users on simple systems
  • Participate in setting standards
  • Monitor system/application performance factors

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required; experience in Manufacturing IT is preferred. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in business IT, manufacturing IT, IT project management, or a related technical environment. The ideal candidate possesses working knowledge of software development and system support tools such as SQL, Linux, GitLab, Jira, Visual Studio, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle databases, and Excel, along with familiarity with manufacturing systems and technologies including MES and Operator Interface Technology. This role requires an understanding of database design, operating systems, software development lifecycle methodologies, project management principles, and Statistical Process Control (SPC), as well as the ability to apply technical and business concepts to design, implement, and support effective manufacturing IT solutions.
