IT Software Asset Manager
Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 + 10% bonus
*Offer dependent upon experience

What You Need to Know
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of software assets using ServiceNow SAM (SAM Pro preferred)
  • Maintain accurate software inventory and entitlement data
  • Perform software license reconciliation and ensure compliance
  • Analyze usage and recommend cost optimization
  • Support internal and external software audits
  • Collaborate with IT, procurement, finance, and vendors
  • Configure ServiceNow SAM modules (software models, license metrics, normalization)
  • Monitor dashboards and generate reports
  • Resolve discrepancies in asset and licensing data
  • Implement SAM best practices and governance
  • Work with ServiceNow platform teams on enhancements
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices, department procedures, and corporate policies.
  • Comply with all applicable legal requirements, standards, and policies including the Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and documentation standards.
  • Maintain a commitment to the values and mission of AccentCare.

  • Ensure effective coordination between all IT software owners and developers

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards. Is responsible for hiring, terminating, training, and developing, reviewing performance, and administering corrective action for staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-4 years of experience in Software Asset Management with ServiceNow SAM
  • Understanding of software licensing (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe)
  • Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro
  • Familiarity with CMDB and Discovery
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with IT service management, SLA/KPI reporting, and vendor management.
  • ITIL Foundation certification preferred
  • ServiceNow CIS-SAM certification preferred
  • Knowledge of ITAM frameworks preferred
  • Experience with SaaS and cloud environments preferred
  • Familiarity with integrations in ServiceNow preferred
  • Experience supporting audits preferred

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Detailed knowledge of ServiceNow SAM / SAM Pro
  • License compliance & optimization
  • Ability to provide data analysis and maintain KPI dashboards
