Job description

Summary:

This role is responsible for assisting with efforts to research, design, implement, and document effective server components and systems to meet customer and strategic goals. Provides support and education related to components to user support team. Works with complex systems and provides translations to business users.

Essential Functions:
  • Design, develop, and document server systems that enhance user expertise with regards to Information Technology applications and systems. 
  • Design and prepare instructional manuals, video tutorials, and classroom sessions in support of developed solutions.
  • Work with Information Technology staff and customers to analyze and solve business problems using Information Technology server solutions.
  • Understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, perform feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis and suggest the best course of action.
  • Contribute to cross functional project teams that address customer initiatives or Information Technology infrastructure needs.
  • Provide problem resolution of reported server issues reported via Information Technology team members, automated notifications, and Information Technology Request system in compliance with applicable Service Level Agreement.
  • Provide support to junior staff members
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.  May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years' experience in an Information Technology area with expertise gained in one or more areas of server hardware, software, and systems
  • Knowledge of server framework (on premise) and virtualization techniques
