Summary

The Centralized Services Engineer II will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing

performance, security, and stability of managed client environments. Operating within the

Centralized Services team, you will maintain automation systems, perform proactive

maintenance tasks, execute patching and scripting activities, and support infrastructure

monitoring efforts. You will collaborate closely with Service Desk, NOC, and Professional

Services teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

Job Description

• Manage and maintain RMM tools (e.g., ConnectWise Automate, N-able, Atera,

etc.)

• Execute and optimize patch management, antivirus, and backup monitoring

processes

• Develop and maintain PowerShell or other scripts to automate recurring tasks

• Deploy standardized software and configurations across client environments

• Monitor and respond to alerts, ensuring proactive remediation before client

impact

• Maintain documentation and configurations in the PSA and documentation

platforms (e.g., IT Glue, Hudu)

• Assist with onboarding new clients into centralized systems

• Participate in compliance initiatives (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, ISO) via standardized

controls

• Collaborate with Service Desk and Project teams to coordinate proactive work

and escalations

• Analyze trends in system health data to recommend improvements

• Maintain patching compliance reports and health dashboardsRequirements

• Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

preferred

• 2–4 years of experience in a technical support, IT administration, or Centralized

Services role within an MSP or similar environment

• Hands-on experience with RMM tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash,

Python)

• Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure

• Strong understanding of endpoint management, patching processes, and
