Your Role in Supporting Our Members:ย 

As aย Senior Manager, IT Risk Assurance & Automation, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executingย Vancityโ€™sย Internal Audit technology strategy. You will oversee the development and delivery of technology risk audit and advisory plans, ensuring the organization stays ahead of emerging risks, regulatory expectations, and digital transformation needs. This role willย leadย the adoption of automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics within Internal Audit, enabling a more proactive, insight-driven approach to risk assurance. We areย seekingย a strategic and forward-thinking leader with deepย expertiseย in IT risk, audit practices, and transformation initiatives who can drive innovation whileย maintainingย strong governance and stakeholder trust.ย 

This is aย full-time, permanentย role based atย Vancity head officeย and will report directly to theย VP, Internal Audit. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demandsย 

How You'll Make an Impact:ย 

  • Leading the development and execution of the Internal Audit technology and transformation strategy aligned with enterprise objectivesย 
  • Translating technology risk assurance strategy into annual audit plans and schedules, ensuringย optimalย resource useย 
  • Driving transformation initiatives including automation, AI adoption, and data analytics to modernize audit practicesย 
  • Overseeing delivery of the annual technology audit plan and adapting to emerging risks in real timeย 
  • Leading and directing technology assurance and project advisory engagements across key transformation initiativesย 
  • Ensuring high-quality, risk-based audit programs that provide meaningful assurance and insightsย 
  • Building strong relationships with technology leaders, co-sourced partners, and senior stakeholdersย 
  • Supporting the development of audit opinions related to technology risk and contributing to overall Internal Audit reportingย 
  • Coaching and developing internal audit team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovationย 

Whatย Youโ€™llย Bring to the Team:ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree considered an assetย 
  • Minimum 8โ€“10 years of progressive experience in IT audit, risk assurance, or technology risk managementย 
  • Strong knowledge of IT risk frameworks, governance, and regulatory requirementsย 
  • Experience leading internal audit or assurance programs within complex organizationsย 
  • Provenย track recordย of delivering transformation initiatives involving automation, AI, or data analyticsย 
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or CISSPย 
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and influencing senior stakeholdersย 
  • Strong communicationย and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to present to executive audiencesย

This role offers a salary range of$122,400ย to $151,200ย per annum.ย The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills,ย previousย experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.ย
