We are currently looking for a PMO (Project Management Office) Manager to join our team at our facility in beautiful Bend, Oregon! The PMO Manager is responsible for effectively leading and developing the Project Management team. This position will create and deliver best practice standards and tools to be used throughout the company. The PMO Manager will lead the project management culture of the company, ensuring accountability and the successful execution of all managed projects.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement an overall project management strategy and roadmap for the company.
  • Lead our team of project managers, providing coaching, counseling and development of team members; trains and educates on project management resources, standards procedures, processes, policies, etc.
  • Champion the company project management methodology, tools, and techniques.
  • Meet quality standards and the production of expected deliverables during all phases of the project life cycle: initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and judgement, with direct responsibility for the execution of simultaneous large-scale initiatives and projects that are designed to achieve key business strategies; establish complex project plans, identify risks and vulnerabilities to create contingency plans, and drive cross-functional project execution
  • Manage projects/intake requests and ensure that they are integrated with other business priorities and related projects so that resource uses across departments are capable of execution and delivering projects in a timely manner. Must also escalate issues when there is a lack of resources and help find alternative resources to complete project.
  • Facilitate the portfolio and capital funding process, track status and completion.
  • Plan and facilitate the strategic planning process/related activities and develop and manage strategic planning documents.
  • Develop written strategic initiative updates, progress, risks, and decisions, which may include initiative tracking, presentation slides, status updates, communication and talking points, etc.; work with departments to develop operational plans and metrics that align with the company strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the project/capital budgeting process to ensure project is properly scoped, a budget is developed and the impact on ROI, safety and quality are clear. Present annually to senior staff on capital projects and if they meet the planned outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain the Corporate Scorecard.
  • Create executive presentations for stakeholder communications. Provide clear and concise communication to various audiences.
  • Other related duties as assigned

What you'll need for this Position

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Project Management or another related field and a minimum of 5 years' project management experience; or equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.
  • Project Management certification (PMP)
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Previous experience with developing and growing a project management team and culture within an organization.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with proven experience managing multiple high level, strategic business initiatives and projects.
  • Ability to think strategically, while maintaining and managing the details of a project.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively reach consensus with diverse teams
  • Demonstrated comfort level working with senior leadership to understand business needs, priorities, and complexities
