Overview

Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget by performing project management functions and researching business and technical issues. Project types include ERP integration, infrastructure, custom application development, and AI-enabled solutions.  Works independently with little instruction on day-to-day work and general instruction on assignments.

Minimum Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Technology or Business
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred

Minimum Experience:

  • At least seven years of related experience and/or training, and must include project scheduling, estimation, and vendor engagement
  • Outstanding record of project management success, both in results achieved and in the use of project methodology
  • Experience with managing projects with ERP systems required; Oracle Cloud and/or Microsoft Field Dynamics preferred
  • Delivery approaches: Agile/Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid, Waterfall
  • Experience working with multi-disciplined teams

  • May serve as a resource to others with less experience

Essential Duties               

  • Oversee, facilitate, and act as a single point of contact for moderate to high complexity projects 
  • Be proactive in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk
  • Establish and communicate project schedules, objectives, priorities and targets
  • Research business and technical issues to establish what is being done and where improvements are possible
  • Develop and deliver complex business case presentations
  • Supervise development and execution of project documentation such as design documents, architecture diagrams, and system test plans
  • Manage project documentation, tracking activities, and keeping project stakeholders informed of project status through regular reporting of risks, quality, milestones, scope, schedule, budget, and performance to established targets on a regular basis
  • Conduct project meetings, participate in cross-functional teams, and address inter-departmental issues
  • Manage outside vendors or consultants and ensure all contracted deliverables are met
  • Evaluate user proficiency and define training requirements to raise the level of proficiency of the users
  • Effectively interact with internal customers, cross-functional teams, and upper management to ensure that all requirements are met
  • Own project governance: steering committees, status reporting cadence, RAID management, change control 
  • Create/maintain: integrated project plan, budget/forecast, communications plan, stakeholder map, RAID log, change log 
  • Ensure delivery readiness: cutover planning, training/communications, hypercare, benefits tracking (if applicable)
  • Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, controls, government regulations, and business requirements
  • Dive in and act as a Business Analyst to assist in requirements gathering as needed (requirements elicitation, process mapping, documentation)
  • Attends and participates in project closure meetings and financial meetings
