As a Sr IT Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving transformational projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver results. Take ownership and accountability for project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related activities. Develop a project plan that outlines the scope, timelines, resource requirements, risks, and interdependencies.Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Coordinate project activities, track progress, and manage project risks and issues. Implement effective project management methodologies and best practices (experience with agile, waterfall, and hybrid). Oversee the execution of project tasks, ensuring adherence to the project plan and timelines. Monitor progress, track milestones, and resolve any issues or roadblocks that may arise during project implementation.Project Team Management: Assemble and lead a project team, assigning roles and responsibilities to team members. Provide direction, guidance, support, and motivation to ensure effective teamwork and project collaboration.Stakeholder Management and Communications: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, sponsors, accountable leaders, resource managers, external partners, and team members. Manage expectations, solve problems, escalate issues, and drive decisions. Create and help execute comprehensive change management strategies and communication plans.Project Governance: Establish project governance structures, processes, and frameworks to ensure effective decision-making, risk management, and reporting, including regular progress reporting, milestone tracking, and project status updates. Define roles and responsibilities for project governance committees and project teams.Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources across projects. Optimize resource utilization, address conflicts, and monitor resource availability to ensure project success. Collaborate with Resource Managers to secure resources for your project.Budget Management: Establish project budget, track project spending and reforecast spending regularly throughout project lifecycle.Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues across the project. Develop mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and escalation procedures to minimize potential disruptions and address challenges. Maintain RAID log.Monitoring and Control: Implement processes to monitor and control project progress, milestones, scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables. Regularly assess project performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide status reports to stakeholders.Change Control: Manage changes within the project, including changes in scope, requirements, or timelines. Evaluate change requests, assess their impact on the project, document change decisions, and communicate changes effectively to stakeholders.Quality Assurance: Define and implement quality standards, processes, and metrics to ensure high-quality deliverables. Conduct project audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement.Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement based on lessons learned from completed projects. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, process enhancements, and lessons learned to drive operational excellence.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience noted belowWork Experience: 6 – 8 years of progressive, relevant experience in an IT Project Manager role is required. Deep experience managing moderately complex IT projects from beginning to end, meeting budget, scope, schedule, and benefits targets.Expert leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels is required. Additional QualificationsExperience with industry standard project management tools (MS project, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps)Advanced ability to develop business cases (including outcomes and KPIs), understand project interdependencies, manage project resources and costs, and communicate with stakeholders to achieve the project's objectives.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)is highly desirable.SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) certification is highly desirable.Proven ability to plan and execute the work in agile sprints while providing full transparency into the progress to complete the agreed upon project scope in alignment with project level milestones and deliverables.Advanced knowledge and hands on experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid), as well as relevant industry standards and best practices.Advanced understanding of IT infrastructure, systems development life cycle (SDLC), and enterprise software implementations.Enthusiastic team player with a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.About WeyerhaeuserWe sustainably manage forests and manufacture products that make the world a better place. We want you to choose us.What We Offer:Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $108,500-$162,700 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 15% of base pay.
