About this Job PNO-949-080426-LR At the Port of New Orleans, our mission is to drive economic prosperity throughout our tri-parish jurisdiction: Jefferson, Orleans and St. Bernard. Port NOLA is seeking an experienced IT professional to lead enterprise technology operations, develop and mentor a high-performing team, and deliver innovative technology solutions that advance the Port's mission and support operational excellence. Internal Opportunity: This position is open exclusively to current Permanent Classified employees of the Port of New Orleans. Minimum Qualifications Six years of experience in information technology; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in information technology; OR An associate's degree in information technology plus four years of experience in information technology; OR A bachelor's degree plus four years of experience in information technology; OR A bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in an information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field plus three years of experience in information technology; OR A master's degree plus three years of experience in information technology.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. NOTE: A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion, provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles.

Shape technology strategy and innovation by aligning IT solutions with organizational goals, managing technology investments and budgets, modernizing systems, strengthening governance, and partnering with business leaders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology services. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Promotional - This position will be filled by a Current Permanent Classified Port of New Orleans Employee. Compensation: This position is eligible for promotional pay.
