Position Title: Bilingual IT Operation Manager
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Houston, TX 77056
Position Type: Onsite
Pay Range: $65 - $70/hr.
Job Description:
  • On-site Bi-Lingual (Eng/ Japanese) IT Operation Manager who needs to communicate with their IT staff in US and Japan and manage their IT operation who could be a backup of their IT expatriate's manager from Japan.

Required Skills:
  • Basic proficiency in M365 (including Office applications), networking (LAN/WAN/remote access), and hardware devices (PCs, multifunction printers, etc.)
  • Understanding of corporate systems (accounting, HR, etc.) and major cloud services
  • Ability to strictly adhere to IT security policies and ensure compliance
  • Capability to handle initial responses to incidents (performing basic troubleshooting to isolate issues with infrastructure, applications, etc.) and execute appropriate escalation procedures (experience in IT management/operations is a plus)

What will you do:
  • Act as a liaison between the headquarters IT department and local users (understanding headquarters policies and driving their local implementation and adoption)
  • Proactively manage the local IT environment (especially the office environment) to ensure stable operations (accurately managing IT assets, contracts, and configuration data)
  • Effectively manage local vendors to ensure service quality
  • Understand linguistic and cultural differences and facilitate smooth communication
  • Take initiative rather than waiting for instructions; identify local issues from the user's perspective, lead the resolution process, and propose improvements.
