Locums - Nurse Practitioner - Nurse Practitioner-NP - Long Beach - California

Surgery Cardiothoracic

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

This is not a surgical role

Perform and record history and physical examinations for pre-operative patients

Provide patient care expertise in postoperative acute care units

See patients for follow-up visits in the office

EMR: Epic

At least two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner managing cardiac surgery patients pre- and post-operatively is required

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

May work across care settings to follow patients

Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of California required

Current certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) required

Current furnishing license to furnish medications in the State of California required

Current DEA required

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association required
