Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States

About the ARC:

The Advanced Research Center (ARC) is a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) facility located in Cummings Research Park in Huntsville, AL. The ARC is a Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) facility designed and operated to support Missile Defense System (MDS) Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Ground Test (GT) and Flight Test (FT) activities.

About the Position:

TCS is seeking a Network Administrator. The qualified applicant will become part of our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Network Development team. The team develops network architectures and solutions to support the development of new weapon system capabilities and efficiencies. In this position, you will be able to contribute to our national defense while working along-side CCIEs and other strong network architects.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering related field or equivalent experience
  • DoD 8570 IAT level II cert or higher (ie. Security+ CE) and ability to maintain
  • Experience troubleshooting and managing communications network systems
  • Understanding of Department of Defense security as it pertains to networking
  • Ability to adapt to change and provide courses of action for problem solving
  • Ability to approach new challenges creatively
  • 5-7 years of related experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) Environment
  • Experience in test and/or BMDS
  • Knowledge of Physical and Virtual Switching / Routing environments, common network protocols, and dynamic routing
  • Knowledge of Cisco hardware and systems
  • Experience in data center design, rack layout, electrical requirements and cooling requirements
  • Experience working in secured spaces
  • Security Clearance Requirements: Secret clearance required.
