IT Network Operations SME (SETA)

Twenty8Tech (a REDHAWK Company) has an immediate opening for an IT Network Operations SME with demonstrated 12 years of IT experience with increasing responsibility with at least 5 years in IT Operations. DOD or DARPA experience preferred.

Minimum Top-Secret clearance, eligible for access to SCI and SAP.


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure and robust network and cloud infrastructures (classified and unclassified).

Support a range of technologies such as switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networking.

Develop and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and standards.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of DARPA’s networks and data centers, to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Monitor network performance, oversee and assist in troubleshooting issues, and implementation of proactive measures to prevent outages.

Monitor the management of network devices, the implementation of security configurations, and the enforcement of network policies.

Manage the execution of high-level ITD network projects.

Coordinate with stakeholders, manage budgets, and track progress.

Serve as a primary IT Operations Lifecycle subject matter expert, supporting the ITD Government mission delivery.

Monitor IT services against contractual Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

Review and provide assessments of IT contract deliverables.

Ensure compliance with relevant federal and DOD policies and regulations (e.g., NIST 800-53, CNSS 1253, DOD 8510.01, and ICD 503).

Participate in the preparations for CSSP and CORA external audits.

Assess and recommend security solutions and configurations to mitigate risks.

Coordinate with vendors to assess and recommend IT solutions and technologies.

Manage vendor relationships and ensure services meet DARPA’s requirements.

Facilitate communication and reoccurring meetings with the ITD government Chiefs and DARPA Technical/Support Offices.

Serve as a primary liaison between the ITD government Chiefs and the IT Support Services Contract Program Management Team(s).

Provide frequent and consistent communication and reporting to the government on contractor(s) performance and delivery. t. Evaluate Communications Tasking Orders (CTOs) and other externally generated mandates and their potential impact.

Provide recommendations for policy updates and changes.

Collaborate with Agency stakeholders, including IT staff, program managers, and security officials.

Coordinate with other contractors and government agencies to ensure cybersecurity architectures and engineering solutions are integrated and aligned with Agency and DOD goals as well as federal mandates.

Serve as a Product Manager for network operations and infrastructure project developing acceptance criteria defining desirable, viable, feasible, and sustainable solutions that meet customer needs.

In addition to the duties listed above, the Contractor will also be required to support external DOD Inspections.
