Job description

The IT Network Intern is part of the Information Technology department, which resides on the Infrastructure Services team and reports to the Director of IT Services. As our IT Network Intern, you will focus on assisting the Network team with delivering robust and secure network solutions while ensuring maximum up time for business related applications and workflows. This internship is temporary, working up to 29 hours per week.
This internship will require both remote and in-person presence from our Clifton Park office.
What You'll Do:
  • Assist with common network support tasks

  • Support IT Network team with cabling and equipment racking

  • Assist with daily network monitoring checklists

  • Assist with documentation creation and modification for network processes

  • Categorize and track IT Network inventory stock

  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need:
  • Knowledge of common network protocols

  • Understanding layer 1-3 concepts

  • Ability to understand, follow, and create technical documentation

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor

  • Strong time management skills to maintain multiple priorities, while working independently

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
