Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server, software, and network resources that support an organization’s IT environment utilizing best practice in line with industry standards . Provide daily IT operational support to ensure business continuity and success identifying area of improvement

Accoutabilities:

  • Improve network architecture to support Operation Technology expansion and growth
  • Establish naming conventions for network, Wi-Fi, servers, etc.
  • Collaborate in the definition of infrastructure standards
  • Design Backup and Disaster Recovery plan for all Mfg. locations
  • Support manufacturing operation providing high availability infrastructure
  • Provide hands on desktop support to plant users
  • Perform proper firmware/software update on equipment in accordance with company and vendor requirement

Key Metrics & Financial Targets:

  • Successful optimization of datacenter layout and connections
  • Helps identify potential bottlenecks and overutilized network segments.
  • Analysis of current resource usage versus future needs.
  • Support Tickets resolution times within OLA and SLA’s
  • Increase customers satisfaction.

Own:

  • Datacenter optimization
  • Systems health monitoring
  • Infrastructure troubleshooting

Influence:

  • Continuous improvement based on exposure to systems and processes; systems optimization.

Veto:

  • Decisions not controlled directly but with influence and approval by Architecture Team Lead  and Manager

Critical Relationships:

  • Network Team, Operation Technology Team, Security Operation Team, Desktop Support team, Business Stakeholder

Skills Needed To Be Successfull:

  • 5+ years of related work experience

  • Knowledge of  storage, servers and Hypervisor (VMWare preferred)

  • Knowledge of routing firewalls, routers, OOB and switching.

  • Technical certifications from Cisco, Palo Alto, AWS are encouraged

  • Automation & scripting skills,

  • Understanding of manufacturing operations.

  • Incident and Problem management, ITSM. Automation

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and self-starter

What You Will Learn In This Role:

  • Design and optimization of IT Mfg. Infrastructure
  • Exposure to OT technologies, applications, and other emerging technology
  • Work under minor supervision
