This role is responsible for managing projects from initiation through delivery, with a strong focus on requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, project planning, risk identification, issue resolution, and executive-level communication.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with both HR and IT teams, but must be capable of managing a wide range of business and technology projects. This individual will serve as a key partner to business leaders, functional stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure project needs are clearly defined, risks are proactively managed, and outcomes are aligned with organizational priorities.

This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to translate business needs into actionable project plans, and confidence preparing and delivering executive presentations, status updates, and decision-support materials. The position is hybrid with at least three days of in-office work expected Tuesday - Thursday at our Sandy Springs, GA headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects across IT, HR, and business functions from initiation through completion.
  • Engage with business leaders and other stakeholders to drive alignment and accountability.
  • Drive project governance by establishing meeting cadences, decision-making forums, status reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify project goals, business needs, requirements, success criteria, dependencies, risks, and constraints.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working meetings to define current-state challenges and future-state needs.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into clear project plans, action items, timelines, deliverables, and governance structures.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, milestones, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions; escalate appropriately when leadership input or resolution is required.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including charters, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, communication plans, requirements documentation, and executive summaries.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, project updates, steering committee materials, and leadership briefings.
  • Promote clear communication, accountability, and collaboration across project teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Coordinate with technical teams, business process owners, and vendors to support system, process, or operational changes.
  • Ensure project outcomes align with business objectives, compliance expectations, process improvement goals, and organizational priorities.
  • Support change management activities, including communication planning, stakeholder readiness, training coordination, and adoption tracking.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional business, IT, HR, or operational projects.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, documenting business needs, and translating stakeholder input into actionable project plans.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proven ability to identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and escalations.
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations, project summaries, status reports, and decision-support materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, consultants, or third-party service providers.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and related collaboration platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certification such as PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing projects in both HR and IT environments.
  • Familiarity with HR processes, employee lifecycle activities, HR systems, payroll, timekeeping, compliance, or workforce-related initiatives.
  • Experience supporting technology implementations, business process improvements, system integrations, data initiatives, or digital transformation efforts.
  • Experience working with senior leadership, steering committees, or executive sponsors.
  • Experience with change management, communications planning, training coordination, and adoption support.
  • Familiarity with project portfolio management, governance frameworks, or enterprise PMO practices.

Key Competencies

  • Strong project leadership with the ability to drive clarity, structure, and accountability.
  • Excellent requirements-gathering, documentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable working across both technical and business teams.
  • Proactive risk manager with strong judgment and escalation discipline.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strategic thinker who can connect project outcomes to business value.
  • Adaptable project manager capable of leading HR, IT, operational, or enterprise initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and delivery quality.
