Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Chemistry/Biochemistry department on the Oconee campus. Student will work a max of 20 hours per week. The student will be responsible for small office tasks such as making copies, delivering inter campus mail, etc. The student will need general chemistry knowledge (Chem 1151, 1152, 1211, and/or 1212) as the student will be tasked with some lab setup and other various lab tasks.
Responsibilities
  • The student will perform various tasks to help maintain and clean the chemistry laboratory spaces on the Oconee campus.
  • This includes setting up chemistry lab course experiments, which will require some knowledge from prior chemistry lab course work.
  • Additionally, the student will be responsible for miscellaneous office/administrative tasks.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following laboratory courses: CHEM 1211K, 1211L, 1212K, 1212L, 1151K, 1151L, 1152K, 1152L, 3441L, 3442L, or equivalent.
