As an IT Category Manager, you are our strategic thinker. You will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies across technology domains. You will bring value to the organization by building relationships with vendors and leading negotiations for agreements. You have a heart for collaboration and a strategic mindset. What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute category strategies across technology domains, such as public cloud, data center hosting, infrastructure hardware, enterprise software, core banking platforms, SaaS, and related services aligned with technology roadmaps and organizational objectives
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors to drive strong performance, innovation, and long-term value
  • Lead negotiations for enterprise-level agreements, including licensing, maintenance, and support contracts, ensuring alignment with compliance, risk, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and effective spend management
  • Manage vendor portfolios, budgets, and category spend to deliver measurable savings and financial efficiency
  • Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Vendor Management teams to align vendor strategies with business and technology initiatives
  • Establish governance frameworks and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor vendor performance and ensure accountability across the vendor ecosystem
  • Analyze spend data, vendor performance metrics, and market trends to inform souring strategies, identify improvement opportunities, and strengthen vendor governance
  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT vendor management, sourcing, or procurement, with a focus on hardware and software categories
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex enterprise agreements and managing large vendor portfolios
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software licensing models, and cloud service environments
  • Experience analyzing spend data, market trends, and vendor performance metrics to support strategic sourcing and decision-making
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree
  • Experience working with major hardware OEMs, software publishers, and SaaS providers
  • Familiarity with contract management tools and procurement platforms
  • Knowledge of vendor risk management practices and compliance frameworks
