Job Summary:

They are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support and enhance their enterprise monitoring capabilities with a primary focus on Dynatrace. This role will involve monitoring infrastructure, systems, and applications to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Configure, maintain, and optimize monitoring solutions using Dynatrace.
• Support end-to-end visibility across infrastructure, systems, and applications.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and health checks.
• Monitor service performance and availability, ensuring timely detection of issues.
• Assist in defining and maintaining alert thresholds to reduce false positives.
• Monitor servers (Windows/Linux), virtual environments, and cloud platforms.
• Support monitoring of databases, middleware, and network components.
• Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to identify performance trends and capacity needs.
• Proactively identify potential issues before they impact production.
• Utilize Dynatrace to monitor application performance and transaction flows.
• Support synthetic monitoring and real user monitoring.
• Collaborate with application teams to ensure proper monitoring coverage.
• Assist in troubleshooting performance issues at the application and system level.
• Participate in incident response efforts related to performance and availability.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or monitoring roles.
• 2 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace or a similar APM/monitoring tool.
• Experience monitoring Windows and Linux servers.
• Experience monitoring virtualized environments (e.g., VMware).
• Experience monitoring cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing).
• Experience with scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) preferred but not required.
Preferred:
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or container monitoring.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices.
