The Chief Operations Officer is a member of the Superintendent's Advisory Team and provides strategic and operational oversight of administrative, financial, and support departments and services. The Chief Operations Officer manages many aspects of the District's day-to-day operations and administrates operational policies, objectives, and initiatives. They must work to ensure that the District sets and attains short and long-term financial goals

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership in finance, organizational development, risk management, legal services, athletics and activities, information technology, public policy, and extensive facility management.
  • Management and oversight of additional programs or services as the Superintendent assigns.
  • Provide leadership in the management of day-to-day operations throughout the District.
  • Supervise and evaluate the work and professional growth of assigned directors, administrators, managers, and support staff.
  • Provide strategic leadership in addressing key challenges and opportunities.
  • Lead the development of short and long-range planning for all operational services to support the District goals.
  • Lead the management of financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investments, and fiscal policies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process and long-range financial planning at the executive level.
  • Ensure the implementation of appropriate policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures.
  • Oversee and guide the operational infrastructure of internal systems, programs, activities, and functions of the District utilizing sound business practices.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Oversee the efficiency and quality of Food Service and Student Transportation contractors and ensure program compliance.
  • Serve as the management liaison to the board and audit committee
