Position Summary

The IT Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for Windows-based computers and servers. This role provides on-site and remote technical support to clients, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and operating at peak performance.



Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair Windows desktops, laptops, and servers (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025)
  • Perform routine maintenance including updates, patching, and system health checks
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 issues
  • Respond to support tickets and provide timely resolution to end-user issues
  • Install, configure, and deploy hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Document all service activity, solutions, and client interactions in the ticketing and documentation systems
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding of users and devices
  • Support cybersecurity best practices including endpoint protection and patch management

Requirements

Location: Columbus, Bloomington, client sites
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What We Are Looking For:

  • 1+ years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows Server environments
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, switches, routers)
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites

Preferred:

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certification
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Familiarity with remote support tools and PSA/RMM platforms
  • PowerShell scripting experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable transportation for on-site client visits
