Job description

Level 1 Deployment Technician – Tacoma, WA

A large healthcare system is seeking Level 1 Deployment Technicians to support a high-volume endpoint modernization initiative across multiple sites in Tacoma, WA. This project involves replacing and upgrading end-of-life devices across clinical and administrative environments.

This is a hands-on, onsite opportunity for early-career IT professionals looking to gain experience in enterprise device deployment at scale.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Shifts: Flexible (day or night based on site needs)

Compensation

  • $21 - $25/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with deployment and replacement of desktop and laptop devices
  • Set up and configure workstations, including monitors, docking stations, and peripherals
  • Perform basic imaging and configuration tasks following established procedures
  • Conduct initial functionality checks (login, connectivity, peripherals)
  • Provide basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Support printer and peripheral setup
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking and inventory records
  • Document completed tasks and issues in tracking systems
  • Provide strong customer service during end-user interactions
  • Escalate advanced technical issues to senior technicians

Required Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of experience as a PC technician, desktop support technician, or similar role
  • Basic understanding of LAN/WAN networking concepts
  • Familiarity with computer hardware and workstation setup
  • Understanding of remote troubleshooting concepts
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security principles
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage time and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+ or similar certification
  • Experience with device deployments or refresh projects
  • Familiarity with Windows environments and imaging
  • Ability to follow structured deployment processes

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite within active healthcare facilities. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
