Overview:
Quantam Solutions provides IT solutions and consulting for various clients. We offer competitive hourly wages, health benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. We are currently seeking an IT Hardware Asset Management Specialist. Candidates must be able to work fully onsite in Frankfort, KY. There is no option for a hybrid or remote work schedule. Candidates should possess excellent management skills as well as extensive experience dealing with hardware asset lifecycle tracking at an enterprise level.
Summary:
Hardware Asset Management (HAM) is a business practice that involves creating, updating, tracking, monitoring, and maintaining hardware assets. As a HAM Specialist, you will be involved in the day-to-day processing of hardware requests including all aspects related to the hardware lifecycle including asset tracking, auditing and disposal.
Job Duties:
  • Asset Location Tracking: Keeping a detailed record of where assets are located.
  • Receiving New Assets: Using ITAM software to receive real-time information about new assets, such as their model, serial number, purchase date, warranty information, and location.
  • Inventory Management: Tracking stock levels and distribution, and alerting staff when stock is low.
  • Hardware Asset Lifecycle Policy: Establishing policies for hardware asset lifecycle activities, such as deployments and disposal.
  • Reporting: Providing detailed reports for all assets contained within our current ITSM system.
  • Compliance: Resolving compliance issues.

Required Skill Sets:
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services.
  • Strong Data Analytics skills - Candidate should possess necessary skills and experience in performing in depth Data Analytics as it pertains to the various elements of Hardware Asset Management.
  • Experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment for Federal, State, or Local governments or related private sector entities.
  • Proven researching ability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance or a related field or work experience equivalent
  • Minimum of four years' direct work experience in hardware asset management.
  • IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience - ServiceNow a plus.
