AspectIt Consulting InternIt Support Specialist

Work EnvironmentAssists in consulting projects, learning from senior consultantsProvides technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Employer & Industry UsageConsulting firms, IT departments, tech companiesCorporate IT departments, service providers, tech support firms

Is 30 too old to get into consulting?

The IT Consulting Intern role typically targets students or early-career professionals, but age is not a strict barrier. Many consulting firms value skills, experience, and certifications over age, and individuals can successfully transition into consulting at 30 or older by developing relevant technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.

What does a consulting intern do?

A consulting intern supports project teams by conducting research, analyzing data, preparing reports, and assisting with client presentations. They gain exposure to consulting methodologies, tools like Excel and PowerPoint, and develop problem-solving and communication skills. Internships typically involve learning about industry practices and may require working under supervision for a set duration.

What internships are good for consulting?

Internships in management consulting, business analysis, or IT consulting provide relevant experience for aspiring consultants. Look for roles that develop skills in problem-solving, data analysis, and client communication, often involving tools like Excel, PowerPoint, or project management software. These internships help build industry knowledge and professional networks essential for a consulting career.

How hard is IT to get a consulting internship?

Securing an IT consulting internship can be competitive, often requiring relevant technical skills such as knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, or cloud platforms, along with strong problem-solving abilities. Candidates typically need a solid academic background, relevant certifications, and good communication skills to stand out to employers.

Job description

Graduate Healthcare Management Consulting Intern โ€” Strategy, Operations & Growth

Altheda Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated graduate student to join as a Graduate Healthcare Management Consulting Intern. This internship is designed for current MBA, MHA, MPH, MPA, MS, MSBA, healthcare administration, public health, data analytics, operations, technology, or other masterโ€™s-level students with a deep interest in healthcare, business strategy, operations, growth, and innovation.
This is a project-based internship for a graduate student who wants to work on real business and operational problems inside a growing outpatient healthcare organization. The intern will support Altheda leadership with structured research, problem-solving, project execution, operational improvement, growth initiatives, and practical deliverables.
This is an opportunity for a graduate student who wants meaningful exposure to the business side of healthcare and wants to help improve how a healthcare organization grows, operates, communicates, and executes.
About Altheda Medical Center:
Altheda Medical Center is a growing outpatient medical center focused on building a more accessible, efficient, and forward-thinking model of healthcare delivery. Altheda operates at the intersection of patient care, business operations, technology, patient experience, and healthcare innovation.
Altheda is seeking a graduate-level intern who can bring maturity, analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and execution support to high-priority business and operational initiatives.
About the Internship:
The Graduate Healthcare Management Consulting Intern will work directly with Altheda leadership on practical projects that support strategy, operations, patient experience, growth, technology, and organizational execution.
This internship is designed for a current graduate student who can take broad business or operational problems and help turn them into organized, usable work products. The intern will be expected to conduct research, define problems, organize findings, build project materials, create recommendations, and support implementation.
This is not a passive internship. The ideal candidate is someone who can think like a consultant, communicate like a professional, and execute like an operator.
Expected hours: Approximately 8โ€“10 hours per week
Internship duration: Quarterly project cycle
Hiring: Rolling and highly competitive
Interns are accepted into an initial quarterly project period. Interns who are interested in continuing into the next quarter may be considered for renewal based on performance, project needs, professionalism, reliability, and leadership approval. • Technology, AI & Digital Productivity Intern โ€” Best suited for graduate students interested in data analytics, information systems, AI, digital health, productivity tools, dashboards, workflow automation, technology adoption, and organizational knowledge systems.
  • Communications & Market Development Intern โ€” Best suited for graduate students interested in marketing, communications, public policy, healthcare outreach, community partnerships, patient-facing content, internal messaging, and market development.
Key Responsibilities:
