About the role:

As an IT Administrator – IT Operations, you will take charge and provide decisive technical leadership and unwavering support to your assigned site(s). This dynamic role demands expertise across several IT domains, including System Administration, Networking, Technical Support (Break/Fix), Project Management, and Business Analysis. You will drive IT projects forward, spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, and actively collaborate with the Viant site leadership team to maximize the strategic use of technological resources.


You will be instrumental in positioning your site to overcome future IT challenges, leveraging your robust technical expertise to craft and deploy innovative solutions that guarantee reliability and scalability. By aligning IT operations seamlessly with business objectives, your efforts will ensure the uninterrupted manufacturing of medical devices.

Additionally, you will engage with every department within Viant, building meaningful connections and expanding your professional horizons through diverse interactions and projects. Responsibilities: 

  • Act in alignment with the core values of the company, demonstrating agility, teamwork, leadership, ownership, customer focus, and integrity in all actions.
  • Provide support outside regular working hours to ensure ongoing IT Support and address urgent issues. when required to support business operations.
  • Collaborate closely with site operations and business leaders to develop and uphold effective processes and procedures.
  • Engage actively in company-wide and site-specific projects aimed at continuous improvement of processes.
  • Provide administrative support and maintenance for Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, OneDrive, Exchange, and SharePoint, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
  • Oversee and maintain the Entra Admin and Active Directory environment, focusing on tasks such as user and group management, as well as implementing and managing security and group policies.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing workstations, laptops, peripherals, and site IT resources, including software, UPS systems, printers, and copiers.
  • Track individual and site IT performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to optimize efficiency in service support and delivery processes.
  • Tasked with managing IT help desk requests to ensure prompt and effective communication, as well as timely resolutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation of procedures, knowledge bases, policy documents and configurations well-maintained and up to date and alignment with the Viant IT standards.
  • Oversee IT procurement and inventory for hardware, software, peripherals, and related supplies.
  • Enhance endpoint security by monitoring vulnerabilities and applying relevant patches and updates effectively.
  • Identify and recommend system, hardware and software improvements/upgrades.
  • Maintain knowledge of Viant corporate IT policies and Viant privacy policies.
  • Report any security incident or suspected security incident to the Viant Security Incident Response Team.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Education:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or other technical field is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical field is preferred

Job Experience:

  • 4-6 years of system administrator experience is required
  • 4-6 years of diversified experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • 2-3 years in medical environment is preferred

Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required in English, with the proficiency to collaborate and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment as well as independently.
  • Resourcefulness in handling unexpected challenges.
  • Must have excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Highly self-motivated, enthusiastic who has the ability to understand and take the “big picture” into account
  • Strong aptitude for working with technology, ability to learn and absorb new technologies quickly.
  • Proven capability in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing time efficiently.

  • Proven documentation skills including policies and procedures.
  • Pro-active in identifying potential issues with a proposed process or systems change.
  • Hands on experience installing IT hardware, peripherals and software.
  • Skilled with Windows operating systems, Entra/Active Directory, Intune, O365 applications such as OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams etc.
  • Intermediate Knowledge in Backup solutions, MSP360, is a plus.
  • Basic Knowledge of cloud storage services, Wasabi & AWS preferred.
  • Knowledge with VoIP systems, particularly 3CX is a plus.
  • Knowledge in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN’s, and wireless networks.
  • Knowledge of VMWare virtualized environment.
  • Understanding of compliance and security standards.
  • Understand and provide support to ensure compliance with external audits from customers, vendors, and the FDA.
  • Knowledge in Cisco Meraki and UNIFI switching is a plus.
  • Knowledge in Endpoint Central is a plus.

Travel:

  • Up to 25% of the time or as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in an office environment with varying amounts of walking, sitting, standing, twisting, and turning.
  • Long periods of time working on a computer, using hands and fingers extensively.
  • Able to lift 15 pounds, bending, lifting on occasion.
