Job description

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill an IT Project Manager job in Danbury, CT. This DIRECT hire opportunity is available with one of our key customers in the HVAC industry. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and leading IT implementation projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives. To be successful in this position, you must have experience managing SAP implementation or integration projects within a global environment and strong project management skills.

IT Project Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and guide IT project activities from planning through handover, helping ensure that teams stay aligned on goals, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Adapt project methodologies – whether traditional or agile – to the needs and scale of each initiative, contributing to key project deliverables and documentation.
  • Work alongside functional experts, process owners, and external partners by offering structure, coordination, and open communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as a central contact point, helping stakeholders stay informed, addressing questions, and ensuring decisions align with business and IT strategy.
  • Help translate business needs into clear technical considerations, making sure the right people are involved in shaping system architecture and solution approaches.
  • Contribute to proactive risk awareness and encourage adherence to project guidelines, governance, and quality practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience managing or contributing to SAP implementation or integration projects within a global organization.
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications, explicitly SAP S4/HANA; other applications like CRM a plus
  • Experience with SAP Variant Configuration (LO/VC) concepts are an advantage.
