Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Lead, IT Applications - Marketing Technology will provide hands-on technical leadership
for the implementation of our Marketing Technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for
executing projects that employ both new and established technologies and solutions to address
business requirements. They will collaborate with the Business management, IT teams, and
vendor teams to deliver necessary changes to support the desired roadmap. Furthermore, the IT
Lead works closely with the business stakeholders to review system needs and support
throughout the process from concept to implementation.
This role will be responsible for coordinating with developers, vendors/SIs, and ensuring high quality delivery of solutions. The Lead will ensure that business requirements and designs are
translated into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
In this position, the IT Lead is expected to have a strong foundation in both functional and
technical skills.
The base salary range for this role is $109,900 - $187,450. The base salary range is
dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant
education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of
the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and
location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Lead the activities of providing new capabilities and driving value from existing
capabilities for Marketing and Customer Analytics platforms.
• Translate business requirements, solution architecture and design documents into
technical requirements and actionable tasks for development teams.
• Recommend, design, and oversee development of application solutions. Work with senior
members of the IT organization to create and enforce architectural standards. Ensures
architectural integrity within the enterprise.
• Be the technical resource across multiple platforms and systems. Review code/
configuration, integration workflows, and data pipelines to ensure quality and compliance
with standards.
• Understand how the different application components will need to interact with each other
for moderate to highly complex projects. Provide guidance to the team in development of
integration components and data pipelines. Ensure seamless integration between retail
systems, marketing and analytics platforms.
• Oversee configuration and customization of MarTech platforms. Validate processes to
ensure that detailed designs match high level designs and are traceable to requirements
in the functional specification for moderate to highly complex projects.
• Work closely with vendor technical teams and SI partners, reviewing deliverables and
resolving issues. Act as the primary technical escalation point during delivery.
• Drive adherence to approved architecture, data security, compliance (GDPR/CCPA), and
enterprise IT standards.
• Support the test execution throughout all phases of testing (i.e. unit, end-to-end,
integration, performance, operational readiness, user acceptance.) for projects.
• Support on the creation of implementation deliverables: training plan, training schedule,
job aids, transition support, etc.
• Support setup of deployment pipelines, execution of release and deployment plans with
all stakeholders.
• Advise, review, and drive the creation of project status reports by members of the
project team and self.
• Identify and design solutions for automation, optimization, and innovation.
• Mentor internal developers and offshore teams to build technical capability.
• Support operations to resolve incidents in Production. Work with vendors on
enhancements and issues/ defects.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years of IT experience, with at least 4 years in IT lead roles.
• Strong hands-on experience in Marketing technologies and related platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated track record leading technical
application projects.
• Proven track record in data integration/ APIs, data pipelines/ ETL, and customer analytics
solutions.
• Strong understanding of source code management and software delivery tools and practices
(DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud/ SaaS development)
• Good understanding of project management discipline. Able to supervise internal
developers, analysts, consultants, non-technical business resources, and external vendor
resources.
• Solid knowledge of data privacy, security, and consent management principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to lead technical discussions.
• Experience in working with global development teams and managing vendor deliverables.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Certifications (preferred but not required) - SAFe/Agile, Marketing platforms, Privacy, etc.

This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction,
meetings and collaboration, and client support. However, this role can perform duties effectively
