JOB SUMMARY:

As the IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing technology projects from initiation through implementation and post-deployment support. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and aligned with strategic business objectives.

This role provides governance, risk management, communication, and coordination across multiple concurrent initiatives while driving accountability, operational efficiency, and successful project outcomes throughout the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of IT projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, project documentation, and status reporting.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to approved business requirements.
  • Manage project scope, identify changes, and maintain appropriate change management and control processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and desired business outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing leadership and project direction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication between business units, technology teams, vendors, and executive leadership.
  • Provide regular project status updates, project metrics, and progress reports to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and proactively resolve concerns, conflicts, and project barriers.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and potential obstacles that may impact delivery timelines or project success.
  • Develop mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and corrective actions to address project risks and issues.
  • Track and manage project issues through resolution and escalate critical concerns when necessary.
  • Establish and maintain project governance standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain project documentation, status reports, meeting minutes, decision logs, and project records.
  • Monitor project health, performance metrics, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal resources and external vendors to support project execution and successful delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance against project commitments, timelines, and contractual obligations.
  • Promote project management best practices and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and lessons-learned sessions to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support portfolio planning, project prioritization, and strategic technology initiatives.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to drive accountability, transparency, and project success.
REQUIREMENTS:

(Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field required.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience leading technology projects.
  • Experience managing software development, infrastructure, cloud, and business application projects.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resource allocation, and project governance.
  • Strong project planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar project management platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, software development, and business processes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accountability.
