Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience covering systems administration, network design and administration, telecommunications, DevOps, and service desk/application support leadership.

Summary

The Director of Information Technology provides strategic leadership and directs the technological operations and implementation of new IT systems and policies, including platform infrastructure, systems administration, DevOps, application support, network services, telecommunications, service desk operations, and the deployment and operations of all BI developed customer facing and manufacturing platforms. Provides direction to the IT teams to ensure systems, staff, vendors, and service processes are effective and functioning within budgeted limits, schedules, service expectations, and specifications based on requirements, with strong focus on internal and external customer service. Works with senior management and business stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives, align technology operations with business priorities, regulatory obligations, and customer commitments, drive continuous improvement, and maintaining a customer focused service culture.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Director of Information Technology oversees all technology operations and evaluates them according to established goals (e.g. platform infrastructure, systems administration, DevOps, application support services, networking, security, telecom, desktop support, helpdesk, etc.)
  • Ensures management staff has defined direction and necessary tools to effectively achieve outlined goals.
  • Supports 24x7 operations across three primary locations and satellite offices striving for 99.99% uptime.
  • The Director of Information Technology ensures compliance with various regulatory agencies such as Sarbanes‑Oxley, SOC, ISO, and FedRAMP.
  • Develops and establishes IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.
  • Partners with Security, Compliance, and business leadership to identify, assess, and manage technology risks, including system availability, access controls, vulnerability remediation, audit findings, disaster recovery, business continuity, and third‑party technology dependencies.
  • Leads adoption, governance, and continuous improvement of ITIL‑aligned service management processes, including incident, problem, change, service request, knowledge, asset, and configuration management to improve service quality, reduce operational risk, and align IT service delivery with organizational objectives.
  • Analyzes the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
  • Purchases efficient and cost‑effective technological equipment and software.
  • The Director of Information Technology assesses the utilization of hardware, software, and related systems to ensure optimal functionality, efficiency, and alignment with organizational needs, recommending improvements as necessary.
  • Identifies necessary upgrades, configurations or new systems and communicates recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Develops, manages, and monitors the IT budget and reports on expenditure.
  • Assists in building relationships with vendors and creating cost‑efficient contracts.
  • Define metrics and service level agreements (SLAs) for all areas under IT to measure performance and maintain accountability.
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, ensuring that knowledge transfer and best practices are captured and accessible.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
