IT TEMENOS Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Temenos Engineer to design, develop, configure, integrate, support, and maintain Temenos core banking applications within a highly regulated financial-services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Temenos Transact/T24, integration technologies, databases, Unix/Linux, and banking systems.

The engineer will work closely with business analysts, architects, application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure banking solutions.

  Responsibilities

1.      Design, develop, configure, customize, and maintain Temenos Transact/T24 applications.

2.      Develop and support Temenos components using jBASE/JBC, Java, APIs, and integration frameworks.

3.      Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the Temenos platform.

4.      Develop and maintain Temenos Arrangement Architecture (AA), products, accounts, payments, deposits, lending, and related modules.

5.      Perform application configuration, parameterization, customization, testing, deployment, and production support.

6.      Develop and support integrations between Temenos and internal/external banking applications using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, messaging, and middleware.

7.      Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.

8.      Participate in application upgrades, patches, migrations, enhancements, and modernization initiatives.

9.      Work with database technologies and troubleshoot data-related issues.

10. Develop technical specifications, design documents, deployment procedures, and support documentation.

11. Collaborate with QA teams on unit, integration, regression, and performance testing.

12. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and production releases.

13. Ensure solutions comply with enterprise security, architecture, audit, regulatory, and SDLC standards.

14. Monitor application performance and proactively identify reliability and scalability issues.

15. Coordinate with Temenos and third-party vendors when required.

16. Participate in on-call and production-support activities as needed.

 Qualifications

  1. Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  2. 5+ years of IT/software engineering experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
  3. 3+ years of hands-on Temenos T24/Transact experience.
  4. Strong experience with Temenos Transact/T24 architecture, configuration, development, and support.
  5. Experience with jBASE/JBC/TAFJ and Temenos development frameworks.
  6. Strong programming experience with Java and/or related technologies.
  7. Experience developing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
  8. Strong SQL and database knowledge.
  9. Experience with Unix/Linux environments, shell scripting, and application troubleshooting.
  10. Experience with source-control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
  11. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and production support.
  12. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  13. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Temenos Transact R20/R21/R22/R23 or later versions.
  • Experience with Temenos Payments, AA, Deposits, Lending, Core Banking, or Islamic Banking modules.
  • Experience with Temenos Infinity or related Temenos digital-banking platforms.
  • Knowledge of TAFJ, TAFJ Runtime, jBASE, and Temenos APIs.
  • Experience with Kafka, MQ, ESB, API Gateway, or other enterprise integration technologies.
  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Banking-domain knowledge across payments, deposits, loans, accounts, customer management, and core banking.
  • Experience with application modernization and migration from legacy T24 environments.
  • Temenos certifications are a plus.
